If only I'd decided to be a GP - I'd earn mega bucks for less than average office hours... but that's another issue worthy of the

:soap: fora for serious

ssss! If you know what I mean
But then I read of the NHS dentist on £300,000 p.a. Excuse me.. but since when did a few amalgam fillings cost more than moderately priced PRIVATE dentist who checks the mad and wild "feline" gobs every six months.. finds nowt wrong - to our relief

(We do floss .. mouthwash... brush our teeth with small compact toothbrushes -morning.. noon.. night and use a decent mouthwash

)
But then Wildy spotted a story in the Express on page 7 and I just googled and am sorry .. I came up with the StUN's version

(could be worse .. I mighthave hit the Waily

)
Anyway .. let''s see... some PH cops -especially those moderating for no pay and putting in endless hours .. are missing out bigtime here

A POLICE constable earned more than £100,000 in a year thanks to overtime pay, it has emerged.
He more than doubled his salary guarding the Royal Family and politicians.
Last night a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman claimed the payments were justified and insisted that overtime costs were closely monitored.
She said: "Policing is a dynamic 24/7 service. We have capital city and national responsibilities.
"There are times when we call on officers to work beyond their scheduled hours.
"Overtime is only called upon when it is essential to maintain operational effectiveness."
The unnamed cop is believed to be a specialist protection officer who spent much of the year abroad guarding either a royal or a senior politician.
His basic salary of £34,000 was boosted to £42,000 by London weighting, allowances and "competence-related" payments.
Overtime then pushed them over £100,000. Figures published under freedom of information laws show that 38 Met officers, from Commissioner Sir Paul Stephenson downwards, received more than £100,000 last year.
Sir Paul is paid a basic salary of £247,194, while his deputy Tim Godwin earns £204,075.
The force's assistant commissioners get a basic pay of £172,458.
Four of the six-figure earners were sergeants although their maximum basic pay is about £40,000.
Twenty civilian staff also earned £100,000 or more.
Blimey... I am underpaid .. I save more lives.. . Ah.. but I have better job satisfaction.
