Sorry for being slightly off topic but I'm afraid that at the present the Scamera issue has had to take a back seat in this Election in favour of the planned ID Card legislation. I would strongly advise all posters here to have a look at the proposed bill at
www.homeoffice.gov.uk.
I won't spoil it for you by going into too much detail, but I'm not happy at the thought of being 'Ordered' by the Home Secretary to 'Attend at an appointed time and place' to be fingerprinted and photographed. Nor do I like the idea of having to tell the government, or face a fine, if I move house.

I'm doing nothing wrong so no one needs to know.
Yes, it is off topic, but very scary. I agree with you completely, about doing nothing wrong so no one needs to know. Unfortunately, this doesn't fit with the control freak goverment we have in power.
They try and SCARE us into accepting ID cards by saying they will stop terrorism and fraud. Well, that didn't stop Madrid, did it. As to fraud, the only way to stop that is to make the banks responsible for all financial loss incured through ID fraud. You can be damn sure they will find a way to stop it pretty sharpish.
They try and SCARE us into accepting scameras - the old well worn "Speed Kills". We all know that its rubbish, but they are so used to spinning stuff to suit themselves, they don't even know when they are telling the truth.
The current government seems to thrive on creating a culture of fear, so that they can ram more privacy/freedom infringing legislation down our collective throats.
Seen the film Minority Report, or ever read 1984. Coming to a county near you soon.
