Have I missed something?

Quote:
Liberal Democrat Tudor Jones said everyone has the right to protest but he could not support the protest, but said it was happening at the wrong time.

"They have not organised it well and have not researched what is happening in the background - in our manifesto we are saying we want to get rid of the tax on fuel and get rid of the taxes on lories," he said.

that must have been in the background. its the first i have heard about it. i think someone has just made it up considering a compaign like that would have a huge impact on the elections. motorists feel ripped off so anyone claiming they would reduce costs would gain headline status

I read somewhere that the Lib Dems want to get rid of fuel duty, but track cars with GPS and bill per mile instead. :(

let me guess, this would be at our own expense? just like the new driver cards that we are having to pay for ourselves. the government are forcing us to have them but we have to pay for the privelage of doing our jobs :x

Thought there would be a catch. SCUM the lot of em... :x

I thought it was too much to expect from a head-up-yer-ass party like the lib dems. Any band wagon will do. At the moment it is ECO-cobblers and the war. Both of which don't win any votes with me.

i dont see the difference between the parties. they all dress up whatever they are trying to get us to believe then do sod all after they are elected. this is the reason i dont vote. who do i vote for? i dont trust any of them. can we start a protest to have politicians scrapped with the scameras?

The British public are used to this sort of thing, give with one hand and take away with another :( As a low milage driver 6 to 8 thousand a year, I wonder what the cost will be. In reality though anything any of the parties say can be taken with a pinch of salt, because once they are in they do what they like.

Sad isn't it. My 14 year old daughter is going through a mock election process at school. The have to vote for a "real" party. Just so they know how the process works.

She was told that if she didn't agree with any of the parties then she should spoil her paper to register a protest... :o

A bit sad isn't it. It is a pity that in the election results you are not always told how many spoiled papers there were.
