(Caption Competition 7)

Graball (who is to Judge this one), has asked me to try this and I have agreed :
New Rules for this Competition (trial): each image will be "scored" out of five, so to win the competition, a person needs to have a caption for both images and will be "scored" out of ten for the pair.

a) New TomTom SatNav updates include user defined shortcuts

b) BRAKE have become more militant over the past few years, in their attempts to thwart would be motorists.

a) Worsening potholes had left the A40 nearly impassable in places

b) Highway engineers managed to save a million dollars on the new Interstate 401 extension, by leaving out the tunnel.

Is it cheating to add captions to the photos themselves?

I think Claire once told me it takes up much more e-space on the internet doobrie storage wotsit to keep quoting others.

I remember she worded it better than that though :D

As far as I am aware, Mole's pictures are not taking up any more space than mine, because they are merely links to the same pictures, on the same servers.
However I stand to be corrected.
Claire's pictures are hosted on the safespeed site and not a picture hosting site such as Photobucket - who if you remember the last Competition, withdrew my picture for breaking their rules - although I am still in the dark as to which rule!

I'm loving the entries so far , people, I'm in stitches here and I was worried that they might be difficult piccies, but keep em coming, I can see this being a hard one to judge, folks.

a) I knew I should have turned left for Aldershot at that last junction!
b) Yes, dispatch, could you send a couple of extra squad cars... and make sure they have got shovels in the boot!

a) Phil wanted to find the services soon - in fact he was shitting himself at this point when he saw that drop!
b) When I got the call saying "there's mud on road" I had no idea how MUCH mud was involved!

a) Some riders went to great lengths to avoid routes with speed cameras on them...
b) Don't worry, it'll soon be cleared... I told the police that there was a doughnut van buried under the debris!

I'm sure you're right

I think it was only when quoting others and not, as you say, when related to a link. (Separate thread perhaps soz)

If I can get enough speed up I can make this hill and knock my big fat Mother-in-law off the top who took the mountain railway carriage.

Image
My God! Did my mother-in-law walk over the top?

:D

We're okay with Mother-in-law jokes right? :bunker: Big fan of the late great Les Dawson me

a) Everytime I think I have reached the top, there's a little bit more!

b) They're going to send a JCB right away, but there has to be a risk assessment first, and the operator wont start until there is a PortaLoo on site!

a) thinks : "my those artist are really getting good at painting the road .... "
b) "It was said to be a landslide victory when a camera was last seen under 4M tons of Earth and rock and will no longer be in use. The last digital image was of a rock just before the transmission went blank."
