I wondered too about the handiness of the good camerawork, but it might be a staff member. The plane was said to have been circling for a while so some prep was possible. Perhaps they routinely (now) video all 'difficult' landings ?
Do you really think that the plane is going 150-180 mph at this point?
Yes! It looks like a Boeing 727, and although I gather they were famous for having a low stall speed, I don't think you can land them at much less than about 130 knots. Happy to defer to someone who actually knows something about planes, but pretty certain it would be WAY out of the Nissan's league!
Honestly, it's a fake - on so many levels! If they were going to routinely film difficult landings, they wouldn't have done it from behind the heads of the crowd in the terminal building would they?! As soon as the plane came to a halt, the emergency chutes would have been out and the passengers evacuated. Then, of course, there's the small matter of the weight in the back of the pickup truck - 20-30 tons at least, I'd guess. A low loader would have struggled! You'll notice, as it all comes to a halt, that the pickup is sat commendably level on its springs - not with it's nose pointing skywards and the back wheels on the bumpstops (and then some)!
You might also be curious as to how the pilot knew where the pickup was - he wouldn't have been able to see it for pretty much most of that manoeuvre - let alone known when the nose wheel was conveniently above the load bed!
The final clue, of course, is in the proper advert - the text that saying "fictionalization - do not attempt" is a bit of a giveaway!
