Can only copy over portions -
This one seems familiar
"They repeatedly expressed frustrations about their daily interactions with the police, saying that they felt hassled, bullied and complaining that they were not treated as equals."

Now they know how motorists have felt for years .

"The Metropolitan Police said it was doing everything it could to learn from the summer's events."

Possibly that they police by consent  and they ( including ACPO) are answerable to those who they police .

I am not always happy about interactions with my local council - but I have yet to go and hurl rocks through their windows, or riot in the street!

Perhaps it is just a matter of time... who knows if I am pushed hard enough... I might just lose the ability to tell right from wrong, and go and grab myself armfuls of consumer goodies from our local retail stores, just as soon as I can muster a mob of like thinking individuals so that there is less chance of being caught!! :whome:

They usually have video cameras recording the events so that they can prosecute after wards on that evidence. They do have police shoulder cams which seem to be used with greater frequency but it might be down to individual forces. These force areas have recently been reduced in number so does this mean less 'bosses' to 'convince' of procedures? :scratchchin:

YEP - modern trend - don't worry about stopping it - let's just record it and prosecute later . Worked a treat with road safety ( NOT) , BUT thats the way ACPO seem to think these days .

I cannot say that I am against all use of observance cameras as if a proper recording is made of entire scenarios (and to a degree therein lies the problem) it can show how both sides have behaved, and can so 'protect' both, if there is equal fear of potential reprisals.

It has wrongly been widely used to replace proper policing, and proper & appropriate enforcement. This overuse with such zealous disregard leaves people disrespectful of the very laws that it tries to govern, and so on....

In the absence of a 'thanks for useful post' thingy, thanks Botach. :)
