56 years after it was decided it was needed, the Bedford Bypass is nearing completion. The last single carriageway length of it.We have the most photogenic mayor though, always being photographed doing nothing

This is almost as good as aircraft carriers with no suitable aircraft. The lack of the bus service makes this a "park only" facility.

It should be interesting when 400 cars which normally park at the station are redirected to a 200 space area.

In Salisbury, they are very fond of "Park and Ride" but, unfortunately, built the last parking area in a place where you had to queue for ages in traffic in order to get to it. Most people, having queued just say "Sod it, I've queued this far, I might as well park in the city centre now". The essence of out of town parking is that it has to be cheap and easy to access thus freeing the roads into town for the shuttle bus.

New council maths - 400 into 200 goes HOW MANY TIMES ? :loco:

They didn't say 400 a day.

400 over the duration of the works, so 10 a week maybe?
