Not a road traffic issue - but relevant insofar as MRSA keeps coming up in the debate.

Parrotcia (deliberate) Hewitt is now taking a tough stance on our idiot managers (and about time too - I have endless arguments with these little stasis who make the JJs look like very tame :yikes: cats :yikes:  )

Hewitt has announced she initiate legislation to hold managers personally repsonsible for MRSA - even charging with corporate manslaughter. (Watch out Speedfinder Generals - you could be next if they find a scam causes an accident  )

Fines and prison sentences await sloppy NHS managers if CPS can prove thier bad management and penny pinching led to deaths.

But... difficult to prove. MRSA is carried by all of us in reality and attacks the weak - and the weakest are concentrated in hospital and have each and every symptom which the superbug thrives on.

Stunt politics of course! Liability insurance (which is funded by TAX PAYERS) will rocket - and we still will not win battle of MRSA as this bacteria evolves in its fight for survival.

Of course - Hewitt was right to point out on the Dimbleby prog that food hygiene laws are tighter than hospital ones . But what are we supposed to do - strip and fumigate each visitor? I have to diisninfect as a matter of routine given my field - but I should not expect a strip and disinfectant shower from visitors for whatever reason.

But how do you actually prove that a hospital is to blame for an MRSA infection? As said - the bacteria is present on all of us - and attacks the weak - usually those recovering from surgery.

The only way we can fight back is by cleaning properly - and this means chisging sheets and dressings, using the disinfectant wipes and just being careful.

So perhaps you can breathe a bit more easily Speedfinder Generals - if we cannot get a corporate manslaughter to stick on managers who cut corners of cleaning contracts - we may not be able to make the dirt stick on you ...

I pointed out on the now defunct CSCP forum, that by PHOTOGRAPHING a criminal offence, and allowing the perpetrator to continue, they might well be liable to a charge of corporate negligence if that person continues on to have an accident, and kill somebody.

Witness the recent trial of the Architect for Barrow Council who was charged with manslaughter over the legionaires disease outbreak in Barrow!
The council got off on a legal technicality (point of law). :x

Mr Mad Moggie sir,

excuse my ignorance, but what is MRSA? (I should ask mother, her ward was closed for a bit...) Where does it come from? Do people suffer from it outside of medical establishments? Do normally healthy peoples bodies just deal with it?

TIA

Try this link for more info. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/health/2572841.stm

Should bring back magots and leeches as treatments, and with a bit of luck, disease carrying visitors would stay away!
Very effective they are too!
