Possibly wrong place ,but if so ,please move .
i know we've got a few posters from down under ,so I hope they might know. Watched a set of programs on outback trucking .With the distances involved ,are road trains subject to the same daft limits that EU thinks necessary ( 56 MPH = APPROX 90K)

56 years after it was decided it was needed, the Bedford Bypass is nearing completion. The last single carriageway length of it.We have the most photogenic mayor though, always being photographed doing nothing

The information is in there somewhere....
Things like speed limits (which tend to be nearly the same as the EU) and mass limits, even to "road trains".
Loads to read:

Mobile cranes ?

http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/heavyvehicles/mobilecranes.html

Seems a lot like here, with some pretty severe restrictions on urban travel..
Not to mention laws changing as you move from territory to territory...
