Over three weeks ago now, I sent off a tax disc for a refund and have still not received a refund, is this normal at the moment?

I'm sure when i have sent them off in the past they haven't taken so long. I would write to them but expect a reply would take just as long.

Hi Grabs

I haven't checked this but my IAMS bud at work said the DVLA are 'working to rule' over a pension thing??? So if something takes six weeks....

I recently bought a car which needed road tax while I didn't have the Log Book back in my name. (Long story). I did actually get it quickly mind.

I'm sure it's just in the system bud :)

Will Google later...

It's late and I'm knackered, but so far got this

Cheers, Tone, for finding out, that's all I need. I was hoping it would be here any day (nearly £200 to come back) but as my luck is running at the mo, my refund form is probably propping up the wobbly leg on the tea machine by now...;-)

I seem to remember the last one I sent off took a bit more than three weeks, and the staff were working as near normal as DVLA ever do .

How would you notice they are working to rule ?
Service better ?
Hardly. They are closing "centres" over the country....the last conversion from disabled registration to standard meant a 25 mile drive....and then a 3 hour wait.
Maybe if they worked to rule more, the service would improve ?

56 years after it was decided it was needed, the Bedford Bypass is nearing completion. The last single carriageway length of it.We have the most photogenic mayor though, always being photographed doing nothing
