As those fitted to mobility scooters. I've got two sets from two scooters, and the second set are declining. My first scooter had problems with connections, and my kids bought me another. The second one suffered mechanical problems and I made one out of two. Both scooters came from the same dealer, and both batteries were changed for "new". The range has never been great, as I suspect only the lowest capacity batteries were fitted ( 2AH). I'd like to replace the batteries, but I'd sooner spend a bit more and get them from a non-disability place, as I firmly believe that the "disability specialists" exist only to prey on the aged and infirm. Any suggestions as to how to work out capacity ( I believe that 2 AH is not enough). I've got visions of checking traction current on a short drive, and then timing drive over a known length. I believe the site battery expert is Malcolm W, AND ANY INPUT FROM HIM WOULD BE WELCOME.
