I was travelling to work this morning at around 4.30am along the A41 southbound, just a few miles outside Whitchurch the road opens out into a dual carriageway and right at the beginning of this dual carriageway is a speed camera. I was following 3 lorries doing about 50 ish and the first two of them where flashed by the camera. So be careful any lorry drivers out there who are not aware.

The camera is out in the middle of nowhere and after seeing this I can understand why lorry drives are so p….sed off.

One question - if this camera is set up for detecting lorries can it also detect speeding motorists?

Note the 2 speed settings, top one for lorries (long vehicles) bottom one for cars (short vehicles). In this picture they're set the same, and it's the metric version, but it's the best picture of one I've found so far.
