 Post subject: 3X over limit - no jail.

A Paisley man 3X over the drink limit who hit a 5 year old child on a pavement gets fined and banned but no jail. Ridiculous when you can be jailed for speeding with no accident involved.

I think you'll find that speeding on it's own is not a potentially custodial offence- it's fine/points/disqual.
Which is why they try to prove or insinuate that speed alone (if it is high enough) constitutes dangerous driving, which (suprise suprise) CAN be a custodial.
