Pc Azim Choudry, 28, of Forest Gate, east London, lost control of his Porsche 911 as he attempted to switch lanes to follow his colleague Pc Sam Short, 32, of Camberley, Surrey, who was behind the wheel of a Subaru Impreza 2000, the court heard.

He crashed into a tree, hitting it at a height of five feet. He escaped with minor injuries. The two officers denied dangerous driving when they appeared at Guildford Crown Court, Surrey.

Richard Bendall, prosecuting, said the motorist, Philip Jones, watched the cars as they drove past him on the A316 near Sunbury, Surrey, estimating their speed to be in excess of 100mph.

This approach has been endorsed by Attorney General ever since 1951. CPS Code

No, it'll be "We were trying to get into the mind of these speeding criminals, to better actualise our targeted responses" or some other BS.

Throw the book at them I say. They should know better and should be setting a good example to other motorists.

The guys being prosecuted and will likely lose his job. I would say he's had the 'book' thrown at him!

If he was at work, I'm gonna have to find out what unit he's on. I wouldn't mind driing a Porsche all day.
