Local Bolton comedian and former colleague as he worked in the haemo-lurgy department in Bolton General once upon a time.

:hello: Dave!

is lending his voice to curb car theft in Bolton. Apparently - as the good folk of Bolton park up in the town centres - they will hear Dave's voice booming at them to lock up their valuables and telling them the time as they walk from their cars. 8-) It seems the signs have a voice activating sensor - and is sponsored by BSafe.

Well... well ...

At last something not designed to fleece us and I do not mind paying my parking fees for this sort of initiative

Yeah I saw that on the news, not a bad initiative at all.

I'm a big fan of Dave Spikey, is he as friendly and as funny in 'real life' as he appears on stage and screen?

Yes. He used to work in Bolton General's Haematology dept and I did meet him professionally in the past.

Guy knew his stuff professionally and was a good colleague and professional.

One very warm , very funny and very friendly chap and proud to know him as pal and colleague.

Sound bloke in every way.
