Well it is my first post.
I got caught by a talivan on the A14 just after it splits from the A1(M). Coming round a bend saw a van on the bridge, a nice yellow van, couldn't brake as was on a corner. Am not happy, i was doing about 87mph. Was a nice hot sunny day, still is :) , the traffic was very light traffic.
There were no warning signs. THink this is more of a moan than anything. Was more upset as it just seems to be there to raise revenue than anything else as there are no junctions or laybys for a few miles in either direction.
I was in a hire car, any one got any idea on how the NIP if i get one will get to me??
Am so p****d off, was not driving dangerlousy at all, bit that gets my goat i was cut up by some muppet a few miles before who pulled out in front of me and when i passed him he sat about 3 foot behind my bumper.
Am not happy, but i have my red wine to help out now.
(If you read this Paul, superb work on this site, i recommend this site to a lot of my friends)
:)

Welcome to the club of drivers fined without having done something actually dangerous. :(
The NIP gets sent to the registered keeper, the hire company. They'll go thorugh the records to see who had the car on that day and then send the form back to the scamera mob with the details. Then the scamera mob send out a new NIP to that person who has to either name the driver or admit to being the driver, just as normal. That means the NIP will probably be late getting to you, but it will still be valid as long as they posted the first one to the hire company on time. No waiting a fortnight and breathing a sigh of relief if it doesn't show, I'm afraid.
