The actor with the 'brownest' of 'brown voices', Tom Conti has declared an interest in standing for the post of Mayor of London. The major part of his manifesto will be to remove the Kengestion Charge as it is choking the Nation's Capital of trade and the free movement of the populace...

I have not researched any further into Mr. Conti's full manifesto, but feel sure that it will be far more balanced than Deadwood's current Junta.

In the event that Mr. Conti is declared fully as a candidate for the post, we should email our support of him en masse... :bighand:

I'll go along with that, and I have to say that Local Hero remains one of my all time fave films.

('scuse my ignorance, but what constitutes a "brown" voice?)

Not sure about a regular "brown voice", but Lola (song by the Kinks, remember?) had a "dark brown voice".

A 'brown' voice refers to an advertising voice-over that gives a relaxing or soothing quality to the advert...(other voice 'colours' are used, but the only one I know of is 'brown').

Ahhhh!

A veritable 'Local Hero' of mine. Son of Italian immigrant (like me), born in Paisley (like me), and for a short spell he was my grandmother's hairdresser when he was working in the family business.
