Any electronics gurus out there?

I walked past a Talivan today (in CSCP land, strangely enough) - the operator was busy scanning away - he had the van radio (entertainment variety) playing loudly in the background. Could this affect the video readings in any way??

Their concentration yes, but not the instruments.
A strong radio transmitter could possiblyt affect them, but the radio in a car of course is a receiver. all that is emitted is sound waves.
