A man is in police custody in Bolton after being arrested in prison over the death of a woman in a road accident in Deane nearly two years ago.
The 21-year-old prisoner from Liverpool, who is serving five years for burglary, was taken from Risley prison, and arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Mother of two 44-year-old Laura Entwistle was knocked down in Wigan Road, Deane, as she walked home after a friend's birthday party at the Rumworth pub at 2.50am on January 21, 2006.
A speed camera was erected at this spot soon after this lady was killed. Oddly enough - no incidents appear to have been reported since.
However, if they have caught the low-life - then let's hope justice prevails. Car was an old C reg heap .. and was found burned out and abandoned somewhere. Well done to GMP if they have indeed collared this idiot.
