Why do Police, scammers and others not understand that by sticking to a set speed limit for a road does not reduce the likelihood of injury or that in doing so it is safe.

They always say I was so disappointed to see so many people breaking the limit. Well perhaps they were safe to drive at that speed and were aware of any dangers rather than having to look at the speedo every 10 seconds and thus averting their eyes from the road and its surroundings. It only takes a second for an idiot to walk out in front of you but you will still be blamed. I don't think "I was checking my speed was under the limit" would clear you of being accused unless you had witnesses.

Come on the cats out the bag speed limits do not save lives good driving does.

PS I am not against responsibly set limits just the way we are prosecuted to the max for minor infringements.

By the way well done to the Police organising this for allowing up to 39MPH 9 to 10 mph should be the minimum allowed.
