I post this up on PH yesterday. I 100% agree with the Driving Instructors (apart from the bit about funding from the scams as I think this should be part und parcel of education, education, education anyway
The Driving Instructors' Association per a short piece in Manchester/Lancashire papers tonight.
Have not picked this in the dailies ..
But per the Driving Instructors Association they want
Quote:
1. All children from age five upwards taught road safety awareness und all cash from speed cams to fund accident perception in children instead of funding yet more cash cows.
They make this call because since 2005 road deaths amongst children aged 16 und under has increased by 20%
The Association attribute this to a withdrawal of funds for the Kerbcraft safety education scheme
The Association say the government und current policy on road safety ist failing youngsters by not making road safety awareness compulsory.
Currently - it up to individual schools und local councils to implement its own road safet scheme .. which appear to be speed cams und nothing else

overall.
