Hi Stephen
Did consider sending pm to tell you about my post here and hope it did not offend.

Mad Moggie,
Since this is one of my areas that I work and I in no way will condone this type of behaviour / driving and agree with a lot if not all that you say or post. I do however have some sneaky suspicions that on this occassion all is not as how you describe for whatever reasons and here are my reasons why.
1.I know the road and junction you mention and it is very busy on most days,so,if these officers did blue and two out of there, then how far behind the police van was your sister when the van set off.
Jazz told me about it when we met. We were picking up something special for our parents which was why I left my kids with their uncle and my eldest son at the match.
I have asked both of them again for details .
Ju-Ju says she was at the check-out just before the WPC, and passed idle chit chat with her.
She walked back to her car. She always uses the "Ashtonfield Road" exit to the A6 as she says the other is "too busy".. and with the bus stop etc.. can be "difficult" at times. She noted the police van waiting to turn right on her approach to the box junction there. She then sees Jazz approaching and letting out this driver who put her vehicle on blues/twos.
Ju-Ju said she had also stopped to let this van emerge and saw it speed off in her mirrors.

2.they say that they followed it tailgating along Manchester road, how, could they see this were they driving directly behind the van on an offiside position to have a view of this,i presume the van exceeded the speed limit of 30mph.
Jazz says she saw the van tailgate the car immediately in front of her.. complete a tricky overtake and do the same to the car in front of that one. She's at steady 30 mph.
Jazz once tackled me about speed limits. She was on A575. Was overtaken by some chav who drove in Jazz's estimation at about 50 mph on wrong side of road. Slowed for the Truvelo and accelerated. She kept at steady 30 mph and pulled up behind at the traffic lights near some tyre place/industrial estate where A575 crosses the motorway. She thought him a t

3.Then even after stopping to reset sat nav still manage to catch the van up as the officers were getting out.
She did not stop. She was concerned and considered keying in alternative in case of a hold up ahead. She thought there had been an accident they were heading for. She also knew that the A6 passes a fairly rough Little Hulton estate and wondered if there had been a "domestic". Her in-car sat nav did not flash up whether she wanted to re-set guidance.. but she thought she's press the TP button for jam news if necessary and re-set a route if she had to.

4.Then pedestrian crossing is a good distance past the police station on the Bolton bound carriageway and to be stopped outside due to traffic for this crossing would suggest very heavy traffic on this road, even less acceptable in these circumstances.
Just my observations perhaps you could explain please.
Stephen
Jazz said she was in slow moving traffic towards Cleggs Lane lights from the car part seller owned by Ali which she frequents.
She says she noted the officers run into station with their goodies. She assumed an "aborted call".. but does still wonder all the same
When I post that we rarely see police cars.. she always mails me with a "but I see a van.. and a an Astra and a Vectra. They are always busy and visible. This is leafy and affluent area ... but we are plagued by thugs all the same"
She has not seen the Vectra since last year's collision with the Micra between Lumber Lane and Greenleach Lane.. Worsley though. He was on a shout. Micra woman was turning right. He had lights/sirens. She should have seen this.
