Three-year ban for drink-drive sales manager

A SALES manager who was more than three times over the drink-drive limit when he was seen driving excessively slowly has been banned for three years.

Mark Mll was also put on 12 months' supervision during which he must attend the drink impaired drivers' course, and ordered to pay £80 costs.

Ml, aged 49, of , Farnworth, admitted driving with excess alcohol when he appeared before Blackpool magistrates Prosecutor, Pam Smith, said that on December 18, at 4.10pm, an off-duty police officer saw Ms BMW parked outside Weeton Army Barracks. The officer spoke to M, smelt alcohol on his breath and alerted on-duty colleagues.

M drove off doing only 25mph in the 60mph zone. He mounted kerbs twice and repeatedly crossed over to the other side of the road.



A breath test showed 115 micrograms of alcohol in his body. The limit is 35. He had a previous drink-driving conviction from 2002.
