I'm sure I can't have been the only one who saw this on the Yahoo home page the other day:

Apparently, the lad survived with relatively minor injuries - hopefully it has knocked some sense into him...

It did set me thinking that for all those who feel that "anyone driving a ton of metal" has to take the blame for any accident between them and a pedestrian, must therefore feel that anyone driving 10 tons of metal should presumably be even guiltier?!
