Volunteers at Pewsey hope to spread speed watch net

Volunteers who man a speed camera in Pewsey are confined to one road but want to include all four main roads into the village, Coun Bob Woodward told the parish council last week. Police have trained volunteers to use the speedgun and drivers breaking the limit get a warning letter from police.

Coun Woodward said that currently the checks are confined to just Milton Road although it was hoped to extend them to include Marlborough Road, Salisbury Road and Wilcot Road as well.
The trouble with spreading propaganda is that some people end up truly believing in it - sadly. :(

Don't worry. Winter weather will be here soon. Old people (and the suckers generally are) standing out in the wind and rain for principle won't last long.

As as these set-ups show time and time again it is their neighbours that are often sent the notices, so that usually dampens their 'moral spirit'.

People time and time again, seem to want to believe in an 'obvious hoax', no matter how bizarre it may be. I guess it is nicer to hope that something so 'simple' just might be the magical solution. The real hard work and effort that is really needed might be just too much effort, or / and too complex to appreciate or comprehend.
If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is!
