Two items that start alarm bells are the mention of revised course fees and new courses . The latter might come about as more and more people attend speed awareness curses( so theoretically the income to the partnerships drops off) and are ineligible for another. So,IMHO, the brains behind the curses will have to come up with some other money making scheme .
What a pity that the same efforts could not be put into spending similar sums in the first instance on proper road safety .

It is shameful isn't it that the priority at no point is road safety but how to find the budget deficit ... wish I had known about the Sept meet ! I wonder what that 'resolved'.
Why too would the CPS be attending a Partnership meeting ?
They are all unfit for purpose.
I find it utterly disgraceful.

I see the partnership is going to send their bill to the Oxford Council - sounded like a fine or in obstinate disgust of their decision to stop the cameras - although they are not too worried as the same cameras are still being used elsewhere - so their funds won't dry up then !!!

Interesting isn't it that at no point are they considering that motorist will actually drive at the speed limits - but they are relying on the fines and increased course fines and courses to fund their existence and survival. This must be so wrong, surely it has to be falling foul of legal decent practice?
