There has been much growing concern over the secondary check procedure.

16.1 The Secondary Check
When viewing any film, or any other means of image recording, exposed or collected in an automatic device, the images in respect of offences will be scrutinized using the approved secondary check procedure to verify the continuing accuracy of the device.
The secondary check method adopted will be in accordance with the Home Office Type Approval and manufactures instructions.
Proving that this happens is the information provided with a case by Mr Buck who was accused of speeding twice when in fact his car was parked. An apology followed from Nottingham Police for their errors and in doing so proved it's occurrence.
