Experts today claimed drivers were "distracted" by cameras and forced to look at their speedometers instead of the road. The alert comes after West Midlands police announced plans to remove 10 cameras and take film out of 150 more after fears they were endangering road safety.

First the midlands, now London. Are they finally waking up and smelling the coffee? Perhaps not, since they're apparently baffled and are still claiming that crashes fell at camera sites overall (just like they would have at garden gnome sites in all likelihood  ).

I see Safe Speed got a mention.
