Jane Lavender reports.

Last week - Bolton was "accident free" - and this week it seems two separate incidents in one day.

Yesterday at 11.20 am five customers in the local burthcers dived to the floor when they saw a car mount the pavement and head into the shop at a junction in Derby Street, Bolton.

No one in the shop was injured. The 25 year old woman driver of the car recieived minor injuries and the van she swerved to avoid - unhurt.

Police say it is is a mirale no one was injured.

I am a bit shaken - but this is a notorious corner for accidents - cars have collided with the wall of this shop before. Something needs to be done about this junction
