Total deaths and serious injuries across the country fell, as did child casualties and pedestrian injuries but the number of cyclists killed rose.
In Lancashire, the number of serious injuries increased slightly from 960 in 2004 to 967 last year and slight injuries increased from 6,789 to 6,970.
