Police launch road safety drive
Notorious traffic hotspots in Tayside are being targeted in a drive to reduce speeding and the number of accidents.
Tayside Safety Camera Partnership (TSCP) is targeting the A9 Stirling to Perth and Inverness and the A90 Perth to Dundee in the week-long campaign.
Motorists were advised that speed cameras on the A90 at Glendoick and Kinfauns were set at 40mph.
TSCP was launched in 2003 in a drive to reduce the number of road deaths and accidents.
Speed cameras will also be in place along the A923 Blairgowrie to Muirhead Road, the A933 Arbroath to Brechin and the A935 Brechin to Montrose.
The TSCP also has speed cameras along the A923 Blairgowrie to Muirhead route; the A933 Arbroath to Brechin; the A935 Brechin to Montrose; the B961 Drumgeith Road and the C221 Strathmartine Road.
Speed restrictions will also be in place at the C231 Charleston Drive; C241 Broughty Ferry Road; A930 Dundee Road; C253 Perth Road and the A972 Kingsway East.
The A822 Crieff to Braco at Drummond Castle; the A923 Blairgowrie to Muirhead and the A93 Old Scone to Blairgowrie are also subject to the safety restrictions.
