Polly Buchanan reports in "Sunday Sexpress" today.

Learner drivers will have fingerprints and iris identification to "stop thousands of bogus drivers putting innocent lives at risk
Sorry

HOW!
If they are bogus .. illegally here .. never applied for a licence - provisional or otherwise ... then this would seem not to be logical..
Yes.. I want hit and runs and illegals to be dealt with firmly and harshly. I signed mahali's petition and the Saunders family's petition to get stiffer penalties for those

half wits who are illegally here and even more illegally driving around on our roads
The Sexpress article has a photo of little Callum.. who disobeyed his Mama on New Years's Day 2004 and went out with his mates .. and the poor little lad was run over by ..
a hit and run driver who turned out to be not only unlicenced .. but illegally here. Ironically though .. he was not actually breaking the speed limit when he failed to see little Callum crossing the road that day.
Oh - A definite COAST error as no brakes were hit per the inquest.. no attempt to slow down.. he just never saw Callum dodging the traffic on a busy dual carriageway...
Oh.. some will say .. Callum should not have been there .. his Mum's fault. He was a lad.. wanted to go out with his mates.. he fibbed to his Mum. ( we are lividly draconian with our kids -- to extent that I really do think they just don't dare fibble to us

We allow a lot of normally natural independence within what we think reasoned boundaries in line with their age and maturity.

) But.. a lad with some spunk.. his photo in today's paper.. yeah .. lovely epitome of a little boy with
character My heart melted.... and I am not judging him or his mother. It was tragic that a wilful act of independence and the chance in million that an illegal immigrant would fail to see him .. panic and run..
Oh .. yeah .. we have cheats per the Waily beating the driving test system.
OK .. I have a patient. His wife was burgled whilst visiting him. Her passport and driving licence nicked. She reports all losses to the police. Her new passport arrives within a week. Her driving licence? Lost in the post and the DVLA say ..
Quote:
Sorry madam .. but not our fault if the Royal Mail loses it or some postman steals to order.
With no further comment .. DVLA post off another.. and another.. she receives just the one of these three.
So I am not really overly surprised then at the
fraud potential here given a driving licence has superficial likeness from those awful booths and an example of the signature which could be forged ..
But let's face facts here.. ##
1. Scammers only ask for driver details not whether or not driver is insured to drive the vehicle. This was highlighted in a Nonny post on this site.
2. People who obtained licences fraudulenty via someone sitting their test for them.. how the hell do you prove this?
3. Over dependence of speed cams seems to be increasing this kind of fraud and dangerous practice.
There's one solution.. support this campaign. Get rid of the scams.
Get more police out there..
We do not think we are right here
WE KNOW WE ARE!
