He is claiming credit for the 2000 fuel protests and the other stuff? IMO most of that article is pretty much BS, a waste of paper.

edit: It was the MoS who did a front page article, and he could have "tipped them off" but it was hardly a secret that you could buy the information, the DVLA have been doing it for years, and have had a web page explaining the procedures for as long as I can remember. Also I'm not sure how you can "reveal" that ANPR is being used in retail car parks, companies like Pips have been selling them for a long time, and it is difficult to enforce the restrictions without it being obvious that ANPR cameras are being used.
