I'm booked to talk on the phone at 11:35 this morning.

I was late back from the Beeb and this has been rescheduled for 11:05pm.

Apologies.

I wondered where you were. I've just sat in my car for the last half an hour wating for you to come on. At least it got me out of the office for a while!

Sorry!

I had it well worked out with ten mins to spare - but I was supposed to finish on Radio 5 at 10:30 - in fact I stayed on until 10:50. I was less than ten mins late for the Talksport slot, but ten mins is ten mins.

Hey, no problem, I can see you've got rather a busy day today. Anyway, I'll take any excuse to get out of the office for a cigarette (yes, not only do I break the speed limit, I smoke, I drink alcohol and I never manage to eat five portions of veg a day. If this government had had any precognitive abilities I'm sure I would have been drowned at birth).
