I have done a few press interviews but the latest is this one here
for The Burnley Citizen ...
I said a few more comments about Police on the roads being far safer and the immediate notification of any, and every offense, but that didn't get in ... maybe next time :)

Can I ask have you even been through this section of the A56 during the roadworks?
Before you make a sweeping comment about it being a revenue raiser, I suggest you go and have a look.

I have been through this section. Even with the requirements for the roadworks this road, in both directions, is wider than a 60 mph two-way road. The camera is in a position where it can be a nice earner for the Pratnership and there were no highways workers about since I believe they only work nights on this.

I fully agree with Claire's comments.

btw far worse things happen around Burnley. At junction 9 of the M65 vehicles REGULARLY use the oncoming lane for a long distance to overtake traffic in a queue under circumstances where they know they will have to be in that lane until the next roundabout. This is an accident waiting to happen. Naturally there are no signs of any form of enforcement there - no money in it.

Regards

Malc
