Interview with the Bournemouth News & Picture Service
Topic : Police used 'equipment' to stop speeding cyclists' along the promenade

I gather cyclists are in some cases exceeding the 10mph limit.
I assume from the description they are using Miniquip speedmeters but it could be the LTI2020?

I totally approve of Police presence and interactions with the public and correcting bad and inappropriate behaviour/s.
I also promoted the idea that pedestrians need to be aware to of the cyclists that had certain rights to and that they needed to be aware.

Update : Having called the Local Police they say it is the PCSO's are handing out warning letters, and the Council that are doing this :

The Police are patrolling too.
I also am now told it is to monitor the section.

I watched a couple of PCSOs in Boscombe a year or two ago trying to apprehend cyclists riding illegally through the pedestrianised bit of Christchurch Road.

None of the the cyclists stopped when asked, who can blame them if they've got no way of being identified?
