Here's the article:

EDIT: Article removed at request of Which? magazine for copyright reasons. I have asked them to review the decision.

In the meantime, I understand that the article is available on their web site to subscribers or if one registers for a three month free trial.

Our apologies.

The way I see it, the author has made considerable efforts to write a fair and balanced article. Nevertheless, he has given rather greater weight to the establishment view. And why shouldn't he? The establishment view has historically been well founded. It's only recently that we're suffering from this nasty "policy is the master of science" effect.

I am preparing a response, in which (!) I can easily dismiss most if not all of the arguments used against us.

The ABD has prepared a response which will be available shortly. I'll post a link.

The ABD have published their response:

I'm working on the Safe Speed response now, and I'm uncovering some very interesting stuff. Watch this space.

Boring man!!

I've noticed, yet again, the supposedly highly educated journo's who wrote the article have completely failed to mention SafeSpeed is not only concerned with safety cameras!!! Illiterate lot!

I recently discovered these comments from Charles Arthur, technology editor for The Independent:

http://www.charlesarthur.com/blog/index.php?p=164

I added a reply and Charles started a new thread:

http://www.charlesarthur.com/blog/index.php?p=238

The standard of argument so far seems dismal. :(
