There is a road near to where I live in Northamptonshire called the welsh lane. It has two fixed cameras on it however I'm not sure why the council thought cameras were the best way to improve safety..

The road surface is poor and in many places the verge has been worn and so the road falls away to ditches - made worse by the road (its a B road) having no weight limit so HGV's use the road as a quick route from M40 to M1.

Also the road signs are so many that at night you get dazzled by your own lights!!

Report it to the council, they are suprisingly good at sorting things like this out if there are enough people who point out the dangers.

we had a pothole outside our house that was gradually enlarging, as eveidenced by all the gravel and hardcore gradually spreading down the road.

i reported it online through the councils webpage. they claim to send someone out to assess it within 24hrs and if its rated as dangerous its dealt with within another 24hrs.

evidently it wasnt that dangerous but it was magically fixed within a week.
also their policy is while they're there with a load of tarmac they do any other holes within 25m.

all surprisingly reasonable & efficient.

If that were evergreen there wouldn't be a lorry large enough to carry the requisite quantity of the black stuff
