This is how stupid it is getting......
Quote:
Traffic restrictions could be installed at the site of a fatal accident, it emerged today.

A Leicestershire County Councillor says there could be a need for cameras after a motorist died in a head-on crash at the Great Dalby turning in Leicester Road, Melton Mowbray.

Coun Peter Roffey said the accident may not have been caused by speed, but admitted the stretch of road could now be eligible for traffic restrictions.

Lets not bother to find out why it happened so long as we can stick another camera in.

Too right !

The way things are now, all the scamshippers have to do is, monitor speeds on any given stretch of road, and if it looks like a good enough 'revenue raiser', up goes a camera....(or '12' !)....accident or not !

...and if there have been the correct statistical number of KSI, speed related or not, all the better as they can wave the rule book around and say they are meeting the criteria, not to mention the newspaper headlines they can grab....

Profit from death!!!!
