There is a link from this page to the 2008 speed enforcement survey.

I don't suppose they take much notice, but every little helps !

If you click on the link (on the page in question) It’s a questionnaire. I'd imagine the survey would have to run for some time before the results are announced. :)

Duly completed. Some questions that were designed to get the "right" answer as usual.

One of the questions was "Are you responding to this survey as a motorist?" Yeah, I am, which means that my opinions shouldn't be counted because I'm just a criminal scumbag who wants to go too fast everywhere (not really, if anyone from the Censorship Squad is lurking).

"Some questions that were designed to get the "right" answer as usual." Too right.

'Should we enforce speed limits where there is no accident history but where the speed limit is regularly broken?' or something similar.
Doesn't that give you a clue that there may be more to accidents than exceeding a number on a sign, you cretins?

A comments page on the questionnaire would have been useful.

I wonder what percentage of the UK adult population are motorists?

Completed.

As others have said, it is a survey carefully worded to encourage the answers they hope they will get...

Likewise .
Did anyone notice the "speed limit " thingmy ---interesting to see that DC are classed as "dangerous"-how else do they justify 50 on them and leaving a SC at 60 .
But funnily enough , the way Warks voters savaged the council elections might make the good bodies at county hall think again . So possibly thiscould /might be (or is it just wishful thinking) a way to put ditching of the limit review down to public feeling ,instead of brown pants .

You haven't missed anything, The link has gone.

We now have details of the unnecessary reductions in speed limits instead.

Dear Councillor
way back in May there was a speed enforcement survey link on the Warks site (www.warwick etc). It's now gone .Any idea when the results will be published or if the missing link was an error
Regards
B

Having objected to the revised proposals which are now linked to on the site, I am informed that my comments will be presented to the local area committee in september.

There is plenty of time left to get your objections in.

It is interesting to note that the reductions which are now proposed include lower limits than in the original survey.
