I firmly believe that we would not have achieved the safest roads in the World without the overarching influence of a centre of driving excellence.

The centre of excellence that we all benefitted from was of course the Police driver training establishment based at Hendon.

Hendon ideas have been incorporated in UK road safety across the board. I've been making some fairly unsuccesful attemts to document the influence. If anyone knows anything, I'd love to hear about it.

One key thing we should do as a matter of great urgency is to re-establish our World-renowned centre of excellence. We'd soon be using and exporting road safety understanding again. More on:

Have you tried following? We usually send safety and driving standards advice to these people

Driving Instructors Association (founded 1978 and consults with Hendon and DSA) . Membership is open to anyone interested in road safety - not just for ADis and PDIs Our nerd has something to do with these people in his job role in EU.

Contact DIA, Safety House, Beddington Farm Road , Croydon. CR) 4XZ

and

Motor Schools Association of Great Britain (MSA) - this is body which allegedly monitors driving instructors  Think they are based in Stockport - perhaps PeterE knows them?
