Hi all,

See this thread:
http://www.cumbriasafetycameras.org/for ... wtopic=857

Includes:

Steve wrote:
Ignorance of the present speed limits is contributing to the accident stats. I wouldn't advocate any change to them whatsoever as we are seeing that drivers are choosing whatever speeds they wish to rather than consider the speed limits.

Perhaps if some drivers started to drive safely within the present limits we would see an improvement.

The attitude that they are there to be ignored is the killer.

Amazing Steve. Would you care to justify those statements? Your two identities on here are both still active.

The claims are getting wilder and wilder. Collapse can't be far away.

I think the most galling thing is that he's stating in the very thread linked above (discussing how fatalities have risen for both years of CSCP's operation), Steve states that he doesn't believe that they've in any way failed, and that in fact, they've not only met their target, but have exceeded it!

Steve @ CSCP wrote:
We are targetedon a reduction in KSI casualties. That target has been exceeded.

We have never been targetted on the number of fatalities alone, that is a target commentators have introduced, I will not settle until these have been reduced also.

Beyond belief.

The man's three sheets in the wind. How long before he and his cronies admit to failure and resign.

Had this been private enterprise it would have vanished by now.

His comments are on a par with those by Julian Hewitt (Hampshire) talking about the rise in fatalities in Hampshire - to paraphrase "[KSI has fallen in our camera locations] what happens away from the cameras I don't know"

Ah yes, "we have successfully squeezed all the jelly into the string bag"
