Ok thanks for that. Ill kick off then.

What percentage of accidents are "caused" by drivers exceeding a posted limit?
If you have any figures for individual roads, all the better.

Thanks in advance.

OK, a completely sensible question then:

Can we have the data for the control sites please.

Can you tell us what percentage of effort goes on a) speeding enforcement: b) speeding education:c) anti speeding engineering measures(includes recommendations ): d) pedestrian education programmes:e) any other things you do.

A breakdown in terms of expenditure on each of the above would be most helpful also.
Thanks.

well you obviously do not know how the system works, we work within partnership with the Conty Council, Police and Highways authority. So if you want specific answers you would need to address your question to the different parties. as far as enforcement goes we are active every day, so are the police. We also deal with PR in conjuntion with the police and County council, Kevin who is the Communication managers liases with all to ensure there is a common message. This year if you live in Cumbria you will start to notice the difference when you read the press and radio.

Highways authority and County Council deal with road engineering. Again we work in liason with them if you want specifics you need to ask them.

As far as breakdown is concerned the audited accounts are collected by the dft they would be the organisation you would need to speak to.

JJ

Shock, horror, no response to questions they don't like the look of. You promised you'd answer sensible questions JJ, so where are the answers?
