Where are they, does it really take this long to colate a very small figure ?????

PS Thought the forum was supposed to be back up and running on the 18th Feb, guess it was another "FIB" from the CSCP

Hi EFC

Stats need to take account of those who die as a result of a collision including those who die withing the ensuing 30 days.

However IIRC we have so far had 2 fatacs in January, 2 fatalities, and 1 so far in February, 2 fatalities.

Like you, I'll choose to wait for CSCP to provide the SI stats.

Public stats need to be ratified with the council and the highways before publication so we will be 2 months behind in future. Apologies for this but its still better that the 12 to 18 months lag you were all used to until 2003 when we came on the scene. Please bear with us?

Not sure I'd agree with you on this - lived here for over 20 years and think things have slightly worsened. Certainly hear of more accidents than I used to - and not always at traditional blackspots!

Also - according to my stats - my survival rate is good - only I deal with terminal cases - so I would not set a lot of store in my own returns! I'm lucky if I manage to get them an extra 18 months of quality living in some cases.

So - know what can be done with stats!
