Great to see the support for the M4 protest next week - remembering the fuel protests it really does seem the only message Bliar listens to is direct action... :o

Sadly I'm otherwise engaged next Saturday (watching Wigan beat Preston.. 8-) ).

So what about a similar protest on the M6, say Jn 36-40 in CSCP Talivan country...?

Assemble at Burton Services and head north...

Any takers?

Copycat protests are an excellent idea.

We have the publicity machine, but no spare organisational time.

If anyone wants to run a copycat protest, that would be great, but you'll have to organise it yourself. Once it's viable we can certainly give it publicity.

An automotive equivalent of a streak then?

Actually, 56mph would be satisfyingly fast compared with the speeds one can normally achieve for any extended period on the M6

Someone PLEASE grasp this M6 protest idea and run with it. I know it isn't long until Saturday, but local papers and local radio would get you a turnout.

I'd love to press release 'M6 protest spawns copycats'. It's a good story that would get us coverage.

If you up for it, Give me a ring: 01862 832000.

If nowt else Paul, I'm on earlies on the motorway Saturday. I'll stick a three lane rolling block on for you, at 20 mph.

I'm writing the press release now. Where should I send the satellite trucks?

Only kidding. :)

It goes without saying that "family JT" will be happy to turn out on the day(s).

But unfortunately I'm at crisis point with about 5 different time consuming projects right now and can't even consider the possibility of any sort of "organisational" involvement.

I'm very sorry, as out lot really need to know just how unpopular they are. At another point in time I could probably guarantee 50-100 cars simply from like-minded friends, but it's just the logistical exercise of getting in touch with them all when I've got a stack of other things that unfortunately have to take priority.
