Honestandy - i have great doubts about the abilities of PCSO to perform as PC do - however if i need to compare thesec officers - i do so on a level playing field - I don't like PCSO /DON'T WANT THEM / and as an old CBO SGT SAID - "THEIR CRAP" - however to get rid of them needs evidence - please supply evidence ,things like "they're crap" are not allowed.

There are two who think they can nick people..under some strange laws that they appear to have adopted.

The Mike chappie who is PCSO 0879 and then returns as a Special Constable who later claims to be a 14 year old suffering from learning difficulties.
??? I ask you and they call me for skitting their PCSO image.

Evidence is all around me..the Daily Mirror reports but our PCSOs call them liars as well.

The police force who love em ..yes like them that much they try to stop them getting stab vests !!!!

They are having a laugh !!!! they are little gems and obsessed by their knowledge of the law. (lack of it !!!)

With some breaking news about our friends taking over people office jobs !!!!!!!

PCSOs were the brainchild of Met Commissioner Sir Ian Blair. Critics denounced them as “Plastic Cops”. Now they are to begin replacing station reception officers from April 1. Plans to put PCSOs in call centres are also being considered.

A spokesman for the Public and Commercial Services Union said: “This is being driven purely by costs without any real thought about the implications.”

Station staff will be able to apply for other civilian posts — or try to become PCSOs. The spokesman said: “Station reception staff are very skilled. PCSOs are not trained for this job.”

One PCSO said: “We were heralded as the future of policing and would patrol the streets. We were not meant to sit in offices.”

Former Met Commander John O’Connor said: “This is cheating the public.”

A HUGE hike in the number of community support officers in Warwickshire was today condemned by a former top policeman.
Peter Joslin, former chief constable of Warwickshire Police, said the plans were policing on the cheap.

Under the measures, the force expects to nearly treble the number of Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) in the county from the current figure of 63 to 187 by April 2008.

It means about one in six officers in Warwickshire will be a PCSO, who have significantly fewer powers than regular police officers.
Mr Joslin, who headed the force for 15 years until 1998, today criticised the proposal.

He said: "It is about time they learned the lesson that there is no replacement for professional police officers.

"They will say: 'Look how many additional people we have on the beat now.'

MP's angry over police numbers
A DROP in the number of police officers in Peterborough over the last two years has angered the city's MP.
MP Stewart Jackson says he is concerned that the number of full-time police officers in the Northern Division has fallen.

According to figures obtained from the Home Office, there were 356 officers serving the division, which covers the Peterborough area at the end of March 2004. This figure fell to 317 in March this year.

Mr Jackson said: “I am disappointed that the number of full-time police officers is continuing to fall, especially when the population of the city is rising.

“This is not what local residents want to see when they pay for rises in council tax.

“Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) are not substitutes for full-time officers.”
However, Chief Superintendent Paul Phillipson, said the figures were misleading.

He said: “Officer numbers in Peterborough have not been reduced. That is a simple fact.

“Overall officer numbers in Peterborough do fluctuate for many reasons, but the core number of officers policing the city’s streets remains the same.

“Although this has impacted on the number of officers managed by the division, it has had no impact on the actual number of ‘beat bobbies’.

“We have significantly enhanced our neighbourhood presence in recent months, recruiting more PCSOs.

“We have not and will not reduce the number of beat officers policing city streets.”

We all know your views on the fine men and women working as PCSO’s.
We don’t really care what some random bloke of the internet thinks about them, your are nowhere near important enough for us to follow every word that comes out of your dreary little mouth.
So change the record and post the fine, you say your scanner is now sorted, so whats to stop you posting it??? Did you make it up ickle boy??

No one is asking for your name and address, just scan the image in to your computer, then edit it in paint or something, you can host it on www.photobucket.com it explains how to do it, even simple step by step instructions a child like me could follow.

If you continue to refuse to post the fine, the letter of complaint and the letter of receipt of complaint, your argument looks weaker and weaker.

So just get on with it, blank out the sensitive bits and post it!!!!

Try posting facts, like links to news sites not allegations but proven facts, legal cases where the majority of PCSOs have been proven to use powers they don’t have
There are millions of opinions out there, very little facts.

You could continue doing as you are now and post 1000 pages of random peoples opinions. You were asked to prove what you are saying.

For example you stated earlier, kids were throwing eggs and the PCSO’s searched them.
Nonsense, your making it all up, they don’t have powers to search for anything other than alcohol and tobacco. Two things a 6 year old is unlikely to have, therefore there is no reasonable belief they had it on them.

Just for the record again Andy, I’m not a PCSO. I could not keep cool when dealing with people like you on the street, I would loose it and probably get the sack. Andy, you can't have my personal details as the idea behind forums is one of anonimity, which is why we are asking you to depersonalise your documents and scan them in to lend credibikity to your case. After an easily won game the kids are now at home and off the streets ..
PCSOs were lucky, only hit by the odd stray egg or three...despite this they did make a few good runs at the six year old kids.

Issue torches blazing in the cold night.


Easily defeated by the cleverer kids in the street, and a convicing win well deserved by the youngsters.

What a pitiful sight one male and female PCSO literally running at little kids on mischief night... Well as the former Chief Constable a man who should really know his police stuff SAID ...what where his words

Just to put things in perspective for other listeners, Peter Joslin retired in 1998, which was some time prior to the inception of PCSO's. So to be fair he is commenting upon somthing he has little or no knowledge of.

I am not a Prison officer as such ,I work in a different secure area..I am part of a specialist team.

Write all you want about the prison service, but it is a job you probably wouldnt have the B***s to do... there are very few I have met who are inside for stealing milk off doorsteps..., and they are all very dangerous people that I work with, nearly as dangerous as you lot roaming our streets.


PCSO s only chase kids, pick on people who are supposedly speeding, or dogs doing what is natural in the park...pooing !!!!

Funny thing isn't it Andy, I am quite happy with all the criticism that you have numerously posted and the links you've provided, mostly to the National PCSO's website and forum. All ofwhich are postedby PC's and PCSO's. Because you see Andy no-one is perfect, we all screw up at one time or another and I'll admit quite happily that I'm not perfect all the time.

However we learn from our and others mistakes and the info you have provided is all very much in the public domain and not hidden away.

I have been to court as a PC more times than I can remember, I have also been to court as a PCSO, numerous times, never lost a conviction, never had a FPN cancelled by the CTO or supervision.

You have failed to take onboard some very simple info that has been provided for you, in fact you have chosen to write what you think rather than the truth. When this has been pointed out to you again you have chosen to ignore it, particularly in relation to PCSO powrers and common law.

Once again you're ranting on about the same thing, using slightly different words.

Please understand that we are angry and against the use of PCSOs in the role that has brought us into conflict with the Police.
