Hi all.
I've recently received a notice to prosecute for doing 40 in a 30 zone on the A146 Lowestoft (as the letter states) by a mobile camera. The notice advises me to go to the Suffolk safety website for more information if I have any queries on the notice. Having done so, I've noticed that there is only one advertise camera site for the A146 and it's limit is 50 not 30. I travel the road quite regularly and must admit I wasn't aware of a 30 zone on the road. Any way, if the only advertised site for this road states that it's 50mph and as my letter only says I was caught on the A146 Lowestoft doing 40 in a 30, do I have any weight to challenge this notice?
The website has to areas which detail there camera sites. One shows you all camera sites and one shows you where the mobile cameras are to be located that week. Neither details a 30 zone on the A146. Any assistance with this would be gratefully received.
Regards
Ian.
