Think today was caught doing 36 in 30 mph zone. i assume it was a laser type van as it had 2 blacked windows on rear door (which were closed). I sure i read some where the windows must be open while the laser is being used? am i right? i try get picture of a simlar van. I was coming down a quite steep hill and the van could not been seen due to hill being steep is legal as i could not see the van ? also as i drove past they were no doors or windows open and no sign on the floor saying camera van. what are the chances ive been caught. maybe he was just packing up lol

They are not safety cameras... they are speed cameras or tax cameras

I think yours was a road tax camera or he was breaking the rules.
you should know within 14 days.
I am fairly certain that nothing will arrive in the post but if it does note the date and keep the envelope

I've seen so many Mobile Scammers operating with the windows closed at the back. Some of them with silvered windows. Are you sure the rules haven't changed?

Anyway if the van did have the windows closed, you were caught speeding by that van and were sent a NIP, could you challenge it in court?

It is true the "rules" have changed. But camera opperators have still got to work within the type approval. Rules about visability and signing have changed . the statutory instrument has not.

so what you saying is if i did get sent one i could oppose it as they didnt have the back window open?
