Hi all,

might be jumping the gun a bit here but just had a strange incident. Went through a set of lights as they went amber then had to stop in the middle of the junction due to traffic stopping suddenly (no hatched zone). When the traffic moved I of course moved with it and saw a flash in my rear view mirror from the traffic camera.

As this only happened today I do not yet know if I will even receive a ticket, but is there any defence with the above scenario if I do receive a ticket? Is it even likely I will receive a ticket?

Many thanks,

Rob

The sensor is usually just after the stop line. So if you really were well-and-truly into the junction then I would guess it wasn't you who triggered the camera.

You should know within 14 days (assuming you are the registered keeper of that vehicle). Let us know how you get on.

Have you got a location ? I am not absolutely clear what you are describing ? Google street maps might have it or at least some of the signs that you mention.
Not having the best vision of a red light camera is unlikely to make it illegal but are you saying it wasn't signposted?

NB. I am not a lawyer and cannot advise you I suggest that you seek proper legal advice.
