:( I was fined during roadworks which have been nationally poo-pooed as a breach of normal camera use policy. I asked to see video evidence, received no replies from procurator( in Scotland), case went to court, couldn't defend myself and now have 4 points as opposed to 3 and fine of £120, double fixed pen. Can I appeal? I am furious. Any ideas please?

Appeals must be lodged within 21 days. (I think).

How many days since you lost?

 Aw jings - it was October 11th so outside 21 days. Of course no details of appeal process included and no notification of citizen rights. Am I up the creek then? It would seem that criminals receive better treatment!

It is not that I cannot afford payment but feel that this is thoroughly unjust and out of order. Fancy penalising partcipation in a democratic process?

It's possible to apply to the court for 'leave to appeal out of time'. I doubt that you'll meet the conditions for leave to be granted, but you need information from a legal expert (which I'm not).

Pop over to Pepipoo forums double quick and ask there.
